Job summary

Graham Packaging Company in the United States, Georgia, Simsville, seeks a Production Supervisor to oversee hourly staff across blow molded container production on a 7pm-7am rotating shift, ensuring safety, quality, housekeeping, and performance metrics.

Requires a Bachelor’s Degree or related operations experience with at least 2 years in supervisory roles; strong communication and leadership skills are essential. On-site role with limited travel and comprehensive benefits offered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree or related operations experience; or equivalent combination of education and related operations experience is required.
• A minimum of 2 years’ experience in an operations supervisory or management role in a manufacturing environment with demonstrated leadership skills strongly preferred.
• Excellent communication and ability to interact with managers, employees, vendors and customers.

Responsibilities

• Understand, follow and enforce safety, health, quality GMP and company policies.
• Manage shift functions including training, safety, quality, inventory, and housekeeping.
• Resolve production and quality problems on the shift and monitor product quality.
• Provide shift documentation for compliance and CQI, participate in meetings.
• Review time records and manage temporary staffing to meet production goals.
• Optimize machine utilization and implement changes to improve efficiency.
• Develop new methods to maximize labor utilization and reduce costs.
• Support plant manager with operational changes and inventory counts.
• Maintain professional conduct and effective communication with customers and vendors.
• Travel up to 25% may be required.
