Job summary

100Hires, Inc. is seeking an experienced Production Line Mechanic/Technician for overnight shifts. You will diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical issues on high-speed lines, perform preventative maintenance, and support quality and continuous improvement initiatives.

Ideal candidates have 2 years of related experience or a technical degree, can work a flexible schedule, and may need weekend shifts. Lifting up to 50 lbs and hot environments are possible.

Qualifications

• Two years previous Production Line Mechanic or Technician experience preferred, or an equivalent technical degree or education.
• Packaging and metal can equipment experience is a plus.
• Understanding of automation principles and controls logic is a plus.
• Ability to use maintenance shop equipment is a plus.
• Must be able to stand for long periods, work in hot conditions, and crawl under lines.
• Lifting up to 50 pounds occasionally; may require weekends and flexible schedule.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical problems with high-speed production line equipment.
• Troubleshoot and repair electrical problems on packaging/processing equipment.
• Complete routine preventative maintenance tasks safely and on time.
• Support food safety, quality and continuous improvement activities.
• Order and fabricate replacement parts or equipment as needed.
• Lead consultations with internal resources to resolve issues and implement improvements.
• Maintain a clean, orderly work area and storage spaces.
