Job summary

Qualifications

• Two years of production line mechanic or technician experience preferred, or equivalent technical education.
• Packaging/metal can lines experience is a plus.
• Understanding of automation and controls logic is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical problems on high-speed production line equipment (mechanical drive systems, hydraulics, pneumatics, conveyors).
• Troubleshoot and repair electrical problems on packaging/processing equipment (wiring, circuits, fuses, switches, motors, drives).
• Complete routine preventative maintenance safely, cost-effectively, and on time.
• Support food safety, quality, and continuous improvement activities.
• Request design/fabrication of replacement parts or equipment as needed.
• Take lead to consult with internal resources to resolve issues and improve equipment.
• Maintain a clean and orderly work area, free from debris and clutter.
