Job summary

Great Dane in Jonesboro, AR is seeking a Production Supervisor to lead trailer production lines. You will ensure schedules align with engineering drawings, manage staff, and drive safety, quality and efficiency across the Axle, Start Line and Sidewall lines.

You will implement Lean practices, coordinate with engineering and maintenance, and handle staffing, training, and performance reviews to keep production on track.

Qualifications

• Education: High School or GED required.
• Experience: Team Leader experience.
• Graduate of Team Leader Academy or college degree.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office products.
• Able to read blueprints and interpret customer specs.

Responsibilities

• Direct and manage trailer production activities to meet schedules and drawings.
• Ensure safety, quality, and productivity targets are met by the team.
• Plan staffing, prepare lines for shifts, and manage rework/defects.
• Lead Lean activities, perform safety observations, and maintain 5S at the area.
• Interview, train, appraise, and discipline staff as needed.
• Attend safety meetings and review weekly production and BOM alignment.
• Coordinate with Supervisors and ME/Superintendent to resolve issues.
• Collaborate with Engineering to resolve build process issues.
• Communicate with Production and ME/Maintenance managers on tooling and safety.
• Manage timecards and attendance for direct reports.
