Job summary

Great Dane is seeking a Production Supervisor to direct trailer production activities across the Axle, Start Line, and Sidewall lines. The role ensures output aligns with the drawing package and production schedule while upholding the company’s safety standards.

You will lead a team, manage staffing and timekeeping, coordinate with engineering and maintenance, and drive Lean initiatives to improve quality and efficiency on the shop floor.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Team Leader experience.
• Graduate of Team Leader Academy or college degree.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office.
• Knowledge of production techniques, safety rules, and quality standards.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and specifications.
• Must be fluent in English and able to operate computer software.

Responsibilities

• Ensure safety rules are followed by all employees.
• Direct activities to meet production, quality, and safety requirements.
• Define staffing plans, prep lines for next shift, manage rework and scrap, and support Lean activities.
• Interview, train, plan, assign and direct work; appraise performance and address issues.
• Attend weekly safety and review meetings; communicate topics and ensure guideline compliance.
• Coordinate with other Supervisors and the ME/maintenance teams to meet schedule.
