Job summary

Charter Casting in Shawano, WI is seeking a Production Supervisor for the Melt Department on nights to lead manufacturing operations and develop staff.

You'll drive safety, productivity, and quality while coordinating with maintenance, quality, and engineering. The role emphasizes leadership, lean initiatives, and continuous improvement to support plant goals and a positive work culture.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• 5+ years of manufacturing, industrial, foundry, metal processing, or related production experience.
• Demonstrated leadership or supervisory experience.
• Strong ability to prioritize, delegate, and follow up on multiple responsibilities.
• Proven coaching, employee development, and team-building skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop production employees through coaching, mentoring, training, and performance management.
• Foster a culture built on safety, accountability, teamwork, and respect.
• Conduct performance evaluations and support employee growth initiatives.
• Communicate expectations clearly and provide timely feedback and recognition.
• Promote employee engagement and support a positive work environment.
• Oversee daily manufacturing operations to ensure production goals are met.
• Drive productivity, quality, and waste reduction initiatives.
• Coordinate with maintenance, quality, engineering, and other departments to support operational success.
• Monitor workflow, staffing, and resource allocation to maximize efficiency.
• Address production challenges and implement effective solutions.
• Support Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement initiatives.
• Promote safe work practices and ensure compliance with all company safety policies and procedures.
• Identify opportunities to improve processes, reduce waste, and enhance productivity.
• Support Environmental, Quality, and Safety Management System requirements.
