Job summary

Panasonic Energy Corporation of North America is expanding to De Soto, Kansas, building the world’s largest lithium-ion battery factory. The Production Manager will lead multiple production lines in a high-volume, 24/7 environment, driving safety, quality and productivity while aligning with Lean and SQDCP metrics.

You will develop Supervisors, collaborate across Engineering, Quality, Maintenance, and Supply Chain, and own end-to-end manufacturing performance.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of progressive manufacturing leadership in a high-volume, 24/7 production environment
• Experience owning safety, quality, cost, and delivery performance metrics
• Strong data-driven decision-making capability and financial acumen
• Working knowledge of Lean manufacturing, 6S, and structured problem-solving
• ERP/MES systems experience (e.g., SAP, Oracle, FactoryTalk)

Responsibilities

• Own manufacturing performance across assigned lines to meet safety, quality, cost, and delivery targets
• Lead and develop Production Supervisors for daily plan execution
• Drive capacity planning, labor optimization, and resource allocation
• Ensure standardized work and operational controls are followed
• Collaborate with Engineering, Quality, Maintenance, and Supply Chain to align operations
