Job summary

Atkore is seeking a Production Supervisor for the Pendleton, OR facility, on the night shift (Wed-Sun, 6:00 PM–2:30 AM). You will supervise production associates and processes manufacturing PVC pipe products, reporting to the Plant Manager.

You will lead using the Atkore Business System and Lean Daily Management, drive safety, quality, delivery and productivity, and coach team members to identify problems and implement countermeasures.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience in plastic pipe/conduit extrusion strongly preferred.
• High energy, strong work ethic, schedule flexibility, and ability to work additional hours based on business needs.

Responsibilities

• Lead production teams using the Atkore Business System and Lean Daily Management to improve safety, quality, delivery and productivity.
• Develop plans and implement strategies to engage and performance of the production team.
• Instill a positive team atmosphere through regular meetings, task assignment, empowerment, and coordination of support services.
• Implement cross-training to ensure proper function of production lines and maximize team potential.
• Coach team members to identify problems, perform root-cause analyses and implement countermeasures.
• Control and optimize labor, materials and equipment utilization to achieve production goals.
• Ensure safety, schedules, and quality specifications are met.
• Manage vacation schedules and overtime.
