Job summary

Atkore is seeking a PVC Production Supervisor for 2nd shift (3:00pm–11:00pm) or 3rd shift (11:00pm–7:00am) in Binghamton, NY. You will supervise production associates involved in PVC pipe and conduit manufacturing, applying lean tools to drive improvements in safety, quality, delivery, and productivity.

The ideal candidate has 1–3 years of supervisory manufacturing experience, with extrusion experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1–3 years supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience in plastic pipe/conduit extrusion strongly preferred.
• High energy, strong work ethic, schedule flexibility, and ability to work additional hours.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills, including conflict resolution.
• Continuous improvement background (lean, WCM, GMP, etc.).
• Ability to thrive in an environment focused on problem solving throughout the day.

Responsibilities

• Lead using the Atkore Business System and Lean Daily Management to improve safety, quality, delivery, and productivity.
• Develop plans to improve engagement, alignment, and performance of production team members.
• Instill a positive team atmosphere by conducting regular meetings and coordinating support services.
• Implement cross-training to ensure proper function of production lines.
• Coach for performance, behavior, and culture; identify root causes and implement countermeasures.
• Control and optimize labor, materials, and equipment utilization to meet production goals.
• Ensure team meets safety standards and production schedules.
