Job summary

Atkore International is seeking a Plant Manager for the Pendleton, OR facility. You will lead safety, production scheduling, manufacturing, maintenance, and quality, reporting to the Director of Operations, and drive cost-effective operations with lean practices.

You should have a Bachelor's degree and at least 5 years of plant/general management experience, with strong budgeting, process improvement, and leadership skills to develop teams and achieve performance targets.

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in related field and 5+ years plant/general management experience in manufacturing.
• Background with manufacturing methods and process improvement programs.
• Lean manufacturing and continuous improvement experience.
• Six Sigma / Project Management experience.
• Mentor and develop employees; experience in a matrixed organization.

Responsibilities

• Implement cost effective systems of control over capex, opex, manpower, wages and salaries.
• Manage capital asset maintenance and lean daily management (GEMBA).
• Lead production scheduling, safety, maintenance and quality goals.
• Develop and lead plant leadership team to meet budgets and KPIs.
• Provide direction to production supervisors and drive continuous improvement.
