Job summary

Collins Aerospace in San Marcos, TX is seeking an experienced Operations Supervisor to lead 3rd shift production. The role focuses on safety, quality, delivery, and cost objectives while coaching hourly employees and team leads.

You will drive Lean initiatives, coordinate with Quality, Engineering, and Maintenance, manage staffing and performance, and support additional shifts as needed. Travel up to 10% may be required.

Qualifications

• Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years of experience.
• Previous experience supervising production teams in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience driving safety, quality, and productivity initiatives.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and manufacturing systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise 3rd Shift production operations to ensure safety, quality, delivery, and cost objectives are achieved.
• Provide daily leadership, coaching, and development for hourly employees and team leads.
• Foster a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and employee engagement.
• Monitor production performance, identify issues, and implement corrective actions to meet operational goals.
• Partner with Quality, Engineering, Maintenance, Materials, and other cross-functional teams to resolve production challenges.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, and regulatory requirements.
• Drive Lean manufacturing initiatives and continuous improvement projects to improve productivity and efficiency.
• Manage staffing, scheduling, performance management, and employee development for the overnight shift.
• Make sound decisions in a fast-paced production environment.
• Work 2nd Shift and support operational needs - show flexibility to other shifts as well.
• Travel up to 10%.
