Job summary

Collins Aerospace, a RTX company, seeks a Senior Quality Supervisor to lead a team of inspectors across three shifts in San Marcos, TX. You will ensure product, process and inspection activities meet customer, regulatory, engineering, and company quality requirements, and act as the liaison between Quality, Materials, Operations and Engineering.

You will drive training, investigations, CAPA, 8D, and continuous improvement, while coordinating priorities across shifts and participating in audits.

Qualifications

• Requires university degree or higher in related field
• 3+ years leadership experience desired
• Strong knowledge of AS9100 aerospace standards
• Experience with GD&T, drawings, and manufacturing processes
• Experience with root-cause analysis and CAPA processes

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a team of Quality Inspectors across three shifts
• Ensure compliance with AS9100, FAA, customer specs and drawings
• Oversee receiving, in-process, final, first article inspections
• Train and qualify inspectors in inspection methods and tools
• Lead investigations into nonconforming material and customer complaints
• Support CAPA, 8D and continuous improvement initiatives
• Coordinate quality priorities and staffing across shifts
• Conduct shift meetings and communicate performance
• Participate in audits and closure of findings
• Drive standardization and reduce variation in inspections
• Address performance, provide coaching, and recognize top performers
• Travel up to 20%
