Job summary

Home Chef in Atlanta, GA, is seeking a Production Lead for the night shift (5:30 PM–4:30 AM) with Mondays–Wednesdays off. The role guides production associates through portioning, meal bagging, and shipping, ensuring SOPs are followed and targets are met.

You will coordinate with supervision on daily plans, oversee quality checks, manage waste, and maintain safety and inventory controls. This position requires strong leadership in a fast-paced food production environment.

Qualifications

• General high school degree, or equivalent (e.g. GED).
• Strong attendance and performance record as a Home Chef production associate is required.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and guide a production line or table of associates during portioning, meal bagging/kitting, and shipping.
• Plan setup of portioning tables, meal bagging lines, and shipping based on the daily production plan.
• Communicate production targets and hourly rates to team; monitor performance and adjust as needed to meet targets.
• Ensure compliance with Home Chef SOPs, food safety policies, and GMP practices; escalate issues appropriately.
• Coordinate with warehouse to avoid downtime due to shortages; check ingredients for quality and shelf life.
• Promote safety, enforce PPE use, and uphold 5S and sanitation standards on the floor.
• Manage output counts and inventory procedures; ensure correct labeling and storage.
• Supervise associates to maintain production pace and line integrity; resolve conflicts and escalate as needed.
