Job summary

McCain is seeking a machine operator for the night shift (6 pm to 6 am) on a 12-hour rotating schedule. Operators will safely run production equipment and ensure quality product while meeting specifications and maintaining clean, safe practices.

Responsibilities include setting up lines, monitoring equipment, adjusting processes, recording data, and supporting training and continuous improvement. Attendance and teamwork are essential for success in this role.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent plus six months to one-year related experience or training.
• Proficiency in team building; excellent communication/interpersonal skills to motivate, encourage, train, direct, and coach employees.
• Must be able to enter data into a computer.
• Must be able to comprehend, read, write, and communicate in Basic English and interact with all levels of the organization.

Responsibilities

• Sets up lines to meet product specifications.
• Observes operation of equipment and makes adjustments to meet specs.
• Controls line flows and blend rates as specified by product specification.
• Monitors transfer points to reduce waste.
• Communicates changes in product flow or equipment issues to the Production Supervisor.
• Assist in training programs for production line workers and laborers.
• Inspects products for conformance to specifications and makes adjustments for compliance.
• Reviews SPC test results to keep the process in control.
• Recommends improvements to methods, equipment, and product quality.
• Initiates plans to motivate workers to achieve goals.
• Completes end-of-shift reports with required information.
• Evaluates line worker performance and reports observations to supervisor.
