Job summary

Allina Health’s Abbott Northwestern Hospital in Minneapolis is looking for an experienced RN to join the Post Partum team on permanent night shifts. This 28-hour weekly role (0.7 FTE) supports antepartum, intrapartum and postpartum care in a 44-bed unit with a Level 1 Newborn Nursery.

Minimum associate degree and MN (or WI) RN license are required; BLS/NRP certifications are expected; 1 year of L&D/OB experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Associate's or Vocational degree required.
• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Active RN licensure in MN or WI as applicable.

Responsibilities

• Provide care to obstetrics patients during antepartum, intrapartum and postpartum periods.
• Maintain competencies and deliver evidence-based nursing practice.
• Collaborate with patient/family and care team to develop and implement care plans.
• Supervise and coordinate unit operations as charge nurse when applicable.
• Perform preceptor duties and orient new staff as needed.
