Job summary

Mercyhealth is seeking a Polysomnographic Technician to support sleep studies on the night shift in Freeport, IL. You will prepare patients and equipment, apply sensors, calibrate systems, and score studies according to AASM guidelines.

The role requires completion of a polysomnography program and certification or equivalent experience, plus CPR. You will assist with HSAT, PAP titration, and data reporting while maintaining patient safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Successful completion of a polysomnography program of no less than one year duration or equivalent experience.
• Certification requirements listed (CPSGT, RPSGT, RST or NBRC/SDS) or ABSM/BRPT equivalent.
• CPR certification and ability to perform night-shift testing.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients and equipment for sleep studies and monitor during testing.
• Apply electrodes and conduct 10/20 system setup and calibrations.
• Score polysomnographic data per AASM guidelines and generate reports.
• Handle scheduling, clerical duties, and patient communication as needed.
• Follow center protocols for HSAT, PAP titration, and safety interventions.
