Job summary

Mercyhealth is seeking a Registered Sleep Technician for night shifts in Rockford, IL. The role involves conducting sleep studies, preparing equipment, monitoring patients, and analyzing results to support accurate diagnostics.

The position requires completion of a polysomnography program and appropriate certifications, with duties spanning PAP titration, scoring, and report generation. Night hours are from 6:30pm to 7am, 36 hours per week.

Qualifications

• Completion of a polysomnography program of no less than one year at a state-licensed or nationally accredited facility or equivalent experience.
• Certification required if not registered by ABSM/BRPT/NBRC; A-STEP modules may be required.

Responsibilities

• Conduct sleep studies to evaluate sleep patterns and breathing.
• Prepare and operate testing equipment; monitor patients during studies.
• Analyze test results and prepare reports; maintain patient records.
