Job summary

Jones Lang LaSalle Incorporated seeks a seasoned Facilities Maintenance Technician focused on plumbing for on-site support in Charleston, SC. You will diagnose and repair complex plumbing systems and contribute to overall facility operations, including related HVAC and electrical tasks.

The role requires hands-on expertise, a valid journeyman license or the ability to obtain within 6 months, and the flexibility for after-hours on-call rotations in a mission-critical environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience in commercial or industrial plumbing.
• Working knowledge of HVAC, electrical, and general mechanical systems.
• Journeyman plumber license or ability to obtain within 6 months.
• Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in confined spaces.
• Valid driver's license and high school diploma (or equivalent).

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on commercial/industrial plumbing systems (water supply, drainage, fixtures, pumps, backflow preventers, process piping).
• Diagnose and resolve plumbing issues using leak detection tools and troubleshooting techniques.
• Support building operations by maintaining HVAC, electrical components, and building automation as needed.
• Conduct routine inspections of plumbing infrastructure, water treatment, safety equipment, and structures.
• Maintain maintenance logs, work orders, and CMMS records for performance data.
• Coordinate with external contractors for specialized installations and major projects.
