Job summary

Jones Lang LaSalle (JLL) is seeking an experienced Maintenance Engineer for the Columbia, SC area. The role focuses on operating, maintaining, and repairing HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and related production equipment across facilities.

You will perform preventive work orders, manage safety protocols, and support building automation systems. The ideal candidate has four years of technical building engineering experience, relevant trades education, and certifications such as universal CFC

Qualifications

• Minimum of four (4) years of technical experience in building engineering with a strong background in packaged HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and production equipment repair/maintenance.
• Two years of trades school or documented apprenticeship in electrical systems, refrigeration and HVAC, plumbing or other craft skills preferred.
• Universal CFC recovery certification (or within 90 days of employment)
• Valid state driver’s license and ability to pass Vehicle Safety Inspection

Responsibilities

• Operate, inspect, and maintain HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and production equipment in assigned facilities.
• Perform preventive and repair work orders; ensure energy efficiency and uptime.
• Conduct interior/exterior inspections and repairs; manage building automation and life-safety systems.
• Maintain records of past operating experiences and anticipate repairs to minimize downtime.
