Job summary

Waste Management is seeking a Plant Maintenance Technician to keep our recycling and processing plant running smoothly. You’ll inspect, diagnose, repair and maintain equipment such as balers, conveyors, motors and gearboxes, and you’ll respond to breakdowns to minimize downtime.

The role requires routine preventive maintenance and close coordination with the Plant Maintenance Manager. Expect varied shifts, a focus on safety, and opportunities for career progression.

Responsibilities

• Maintain balers, conveyors, gearboxes, motors, pulleys and bearings to keep the plant running safely and efficiently.
• Conduct preventive maintenance inspections and diagnose/repair major equipment and components.
• Adjust work procedures to production schedules and communicate needs to the Plant Maintenance Manager.
