Job summary

Waste Management is hiring a Plant Maintenance Technician to keep our processing facilities running safely and efficiently. You will perform preventive maintenance, diagnose and repair equipment, and respond to breakdowns to minimize downtime.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of relevant maintenance experience.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Legally eligible to work in the United States.
• Ability to perform physically demanding tasks.

Responsibilities

• Conduct preventive maintenance inspections and diagnose/repair major equipment (balers, conveyors, motors, bearings, gearboxes).
• Monitor and clear DEI backlog and ensure timely repairs.
• Adjust procedures to meet production schedules and communicate needs to management.
• Inspect third‑party repairs and assess equipment for performance improvements.
• Respond to emergency breakdowns and perform tasks with limited supervision.
