Job summary

WM is hiring a Plant Maintenance Technician to keep our recycling plant running safely and efficiently. You will perform preventive maintenance on balers, conveyors, motors, and related equipment, diagnosing issues quickly and repairing them to minimize downtime.

The role requires 2 years of experience, physical capability to handle demanding tasks, and compliance with safety and pre-employment screenings. We offer extensive training, uniforms and PPE, and a solid benefits package.

Qualifications

• 2 years of relevant work experience required.
• Be over 18 years of age.
• Legally eligible to work in the United States.
• Ability to perform physical requirements with or without reasonable accommodations.
• Successfully complete and pass pre-employment drug screen and physical.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance inspections on plant equipment.
• Diagnose and repair balers, conveyors, motors, belts, and related components.
• Repair and rebuild major equipment and components as needed.
• Maintain DEI backlog and ensure timely inspections.
• Adhere to safety procedures and OSHA requirements.
• Respond to emergency breakdown service calls.
• Work with limited supervision and maintain high standards.
