Job summary

Advocate Health invites applications for a Part-Time Phlebotomist at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center - Lab: Phlebotomy Services, Winston Campus. This 20-hour/week night shift role requires precise blood collection and adherence to safety standards.

You will perform specimen collection, proper labeling, LIS entry, and coordinate with lab staff to ensure timely reporting. CPR certification and a certified phlebotomy program are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• CPR Certification required.
• ASCP, AMT, ASPT or equivalent phlebotomy certification from an accredited program with passing exam.

Responsibilities

• Adheres to the general Medical Center standards and promotes a cooperative work environment.
• Ensures accurate and timely collection of blood specimens.
• Ensures accurate identification and delivery of patient samples to lab sections.
• Follows safety procedures when dealing with patients and specimens.
• May perform waived testing and clerical tasks in LIS and reports printing.
