Job summary

Presbyterian Healthcare Services is seeking a part-time? phlebotomist to perform phlebotomy and related collection duties in a high-volume setting. The role involves processing specimens, entering orders, and maintaining quality control using EPIC charting software.

Responsibilities include specimen handling, waived/moderate testing, equipment maintenance, inventory, and supporting clinical staff. Opportunities for tuition reimbursement, scholarship support, and safety programs are highlighted.

Qualifications

• HS/GED plus nine months of phlebotomy experience.
• PBT (ASCP) or equivalent certification preferred.
• Point of care, waived, and moderate complexity testing experience preferred.
• Competent phlebotomy skills; communicate well, team-oriented, multitasker, organized; on call and able to work holidays, evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Performs phlebotomy and other collection procedures according to established procedures.
• Performs specialized collections such as urine drug collections and PPDs if required.
• Processes requisitions and enters test orders into the computer system; verifies specimens.
• Receives, processes and stores specimens; centrifuging, aliquoting, stabilizing.
• Performs waived and moderate complexity testing with appropriate training.
• Performs routine equipment maintenance and calibration as needed.
• Orders and maintains supplies and inventory.
• Ensures compliance with all regulatory agencies.
• Assists clinical staff with stocking supplies, cleaning, patient transport and other tasks.
• Other duties as assigned.
