Job summary

Research Medical Center in Kansas City, MO is seeking a Phlebotomist for night shifts to join our laboratory team. You will perform phlebotomy procedures, transport specimens, prepare supplies, verify patient identity, and maintain accurate records in a fast-paced hospital setting.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma or GED, a national phlebotomy certification (ASCP or NCA), and 2 years of phlebotomy experience, preferably in a large hospital lab, with meticulous attention to detail

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Phlebotomy certification by ASCP and/or NCA required.
• At least 2 years of phlebotomy experience preferred.
• Phlebotomy experience in a large hospital laboratory highly desired.

Responsibilities

• Performs phlebotomy procedures and transports laboratory specimens.
• Draws blood from patients for analysis or other medical purposes.
• Assembles equipment (tourniquet, needles, tubes, gauze) for tests.
• Verifies patient identity and communicates procedures to patients.
