Qualifications

• 0-2 years of phlebotomy experience preferred.
• Knowledge of safety guidelines and infection control.
• Ability to collect blood across age groups with accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Performs venipuncture and capillary collection per policy.
• Ensures positive patient identification and bedside labeling.
• Prepares, transports, and preserves specimens following safety rules.
• Explains procedures and addresses patient concerns to ensure comfort.
• Maintains equipment and workspace in a clean, compliant state.
• Documents patient and specimen information accurately in the system.
• Collects timed specimens as ordered and resolves any issues.
• Collaborates with the healthcare team to coordinate specimen status.
• Adheres to all safety, regulatory, and hospital procedures.
