Job summary

Lake Region Healthcare in Fergus Falls, MN is seeking a Phlebotomist to obtain specimens from patients of all ages and support the laboratory in preparing samples for analysis.

This position offers 64 hours biweekly with straight night shifts from 9pm to 7am, plus a comprehensive benefits package including medical and dental coverage, HSA/FSA and 401k plans. We provide ongoing training and a team-focused environment.

Qualifications

• Degree from a Phlebotomy program with internship in an approved lab, or health-related education/experience.
• Effective English communication, both oral and written.
• Operate lab equipment such as centrifuge, microscope, and lab computer.
• Follow detailed blood collection and lab procedures; train for new procedures as needed.
• Complete on-the-job training and work independently with good judgment.

Responsibilities

• Obtain specimens from patients of all ages with care for welfare and safety.
• Assist the laboratory in preparing specimens for analysis.
• Perform various clerical duties of the laboratory under direct supervision.
