Job summary

Community Health Systems in Naples, FL is seeking a Lab Assistant/Phlebotomist for night shift. You will perform phlebotomy, specimen processing, and support routine lab testing while ensuring safety and accuracy in handling specimens.

The role requires attention to regulatory compliance, strong organization, and clear communication with healthcare teams. Prior lab or phlebotomy experience is preferred, but training may be provided as needed.

Qualifications

• Completion of a laboratory assistant training or phlebotomy program required or
• High school diploma or GED required and one to two years' laboratory/clinical experience preferred
• Experience with specimen processing and quality control preferred

Responsibilities

• Assist laboratory staff in performing routine tests and phlebotomy procedures.
• Prepare and process specimens with proper labeling, storage and transport.
• Maintain equipment and assist with routine maintenance and QC tasks.
• Ensure patient identification and specimen integrity with proper bedside labeling.
