Job summary

Community Hospital of Huntington Park in Huntington Park, CA is seeking a Certified Phlebotomy Technician for a per diem night shift. Qualifications

• Six months phlebotomy experience in an accredited hospital laboratory preferred.
• Internal employees with licensure/certifications may not require experience.
• Experience with laboratory instrumentation preferred.
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
• Ability to learn, work independently and place patients first.

Responsibilities

• Draw blood on all age groups following aseptic technique.
• Assist CLS/MLT with centrifuging, processing, and instrument setup.
• Maintain equipment, organize specimens, and manage inventory.
• Communicate clearly with coworkers and patients using AIDET principles.
