Job summary

Huntington Beach Hospital is seeking a Per Diem CPT I Phlebotomy Technician to perform venipuncture for patients across ages in the clinical lab, under supervision. The role includes data entry, specimen processing and maintaining lab equipment and areas.

Qualified candidates have a High School Diploma, current CPT I certification and BLS within 45 days of hire. Prior lab experience is preferred; shift is variable.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma is required.
• Current and valid state CPT I certification is required.
• BLS certification within 45 days of hire and kept current.

Responsibilities

• Perform skin puncture or venipuncture on patients of all ages for blood specimens.
• Handle computer data entry, filing and telephone communications.
• Demonstrate proper phlebotomy technique and equipment use across age groups.
