Monarch Healthcare in North Carolina is seeking a Peer Support Specialist for the Behavioral Health Urgent Care to help individuals achieve personal goals using lived experience with mental health or substance use issues.

You will support recovery, model wellness, connect clients to community resources, and document encounters in the EHR. The role includes crisis planning input and transportation as needed, with a Friday–Sunday 7:00 pm–7:00 am schedule.

Competenze

• High School Diploma is required.
• Certified Peer Support Specialist (CPSS) issued by USA state authority is required.
• Valid Driver's License (USA) is required.
• 1 year of experience working with adults with substance use disorder(s).
• Lived experience and a personal recovery story related to mental illness or substance use is required.

Mansioni

• Share lived experience to support recovery and treatment.
• Model recovery values and promote wellness and resilience.
• Assist individuals with crisis planning and relapse prevention strategies.
• Document encounters and progress notes in the electronic health record.
• Provide transportation or arrange transport for individuals as needed.
