CarePoint Response, Inc. in Baltimore, MD is seeking a Peer Recovery Specialist (SUD) to join our frontline crisis intervention team at the Substance Use Urgent Care Center.

The role includes assessing clients, providing crisis intervention, and developing care plans, with thorough documentation and coordination with families, first responders, and community providers. We offer part-time, full-time, and PRN positions.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent and at least two (2) years of related experience.
• Peer Recovery Specialist Certification (CPRS) or willingness to be certified within a year of employment.
• At least two (2) years in full recovery AND three (3) years of lived experience with mental illness, substance abuse, or a co-occurring disorder.
• Valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Self-identify as a Peer and provide peer support to consumers and families.
• Assist in conducting substance use crisis assessments, including overdose risk, withdrawal symptoms, suicide risk, safety concerns, harm reduction, and environmental factors impacting recovery.
• Create appropriate referral recommendations and develop treatment plans using available agency and community resources.
• Complete documentation in a thorough and timely manner.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures, as well as appropriate federal, state, and county regulations.
