Job summary

CarePoint Response, Inc. in Baltimore, MD seeks a Peer Recovery Specialist to join the frontline crisis intervention team.

You will assess, intervene, and develop crisis plans to support clients in treatment while documenting thoroughly and coordinating with families, first responders, and community providers. Requirements include a high school diploma, CPRS or willingness to certify within a year, and at least two years in recovery plus three years of lived experience with mental health or

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent and at least two years of related experience.
• Peer Recovery Specialist Certification (CPRS) or willingness to be certified within one year of employment.
• At least two years in full recovery AND three years of lived experience with mental illness, substance abuse, or a co-occurring disorder.
• Valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Self-identify as a Peer and provide peer support to consumers and families.
• Assist in conducting substance use crisis assessments, including overdose risk, withdrawal symptoms, suicide risk, safety concerns, harm reduction, and environmental factors impacting recovery.
• Create appropriate referral recommendations and develop treatment plans using available agency and community resources.
• Complete documentation in a thorough and timely manner.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures, as well as appropriate federal, state, and county regulations.
