Job summary

CarePoint Response, Inc. in Baltimore is seeking a Peer Recovery Specialist to join our frontline crisis intervention team at the Substance Use Urgent Care Center.

Part-time and PRN positions are available; you will assess, evaluate, and perform crisis interventions and develop crisis plans to support continuation of services for individuals in crisis. The role includes on-site collaboration with families, first responders, and community providers, with documentation duties and adherence to

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• CPRS certification or willingness to be certified within 1 year.
• At least two years in recovery and three years lived experience with mental illness or substance use disorders.

Responsibilities

• Provide peer support to clients and families.
• Conduct substance use crisis assessments including overdose risk, withdrawal, suicide risk, safety, harm reduction, and environmental factors.
• Develop referral recommendations and treatment plans using agency and community resources.
• Complete documentation thoroughly and timely.
• Ensure compliance with policies and regulations.
