CarePoint Response, Inc. in Baltimore, MD is hiring a Peer Recovery Specialist to join our frontline crisis intervention team at the Substance Use Urgent Care Center.

The role focuses on assessing clients, delivering peer support, and developing crisis plans to ensure continuity of care. Qualifications include a High School Diploma, CPRS certification or willingness to become certified within one year, and lived experience with mental illness, substance use, or co-occurring disorders.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent and at least two (2) years of related experience.
• Peer Recovery Specialist Certification (CPRS) or willingness to be certified within one (1) year of employment.
• At least two (2) years in full recovery AND three (3) years of lived experience with mental illness, substance abuse, or a co-occurring disorder.
• Valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Self-identify as a Peer and provide peer support to consumers and families.
• Assist in conducting substance use crisis assessments, including overdose risk, withdrawal symptoms, suicide risk, safety concerns, harm reduction, and environmental factors impacting recovery.
• Create appropriate referral recommendations and develop treatment plans using available agency and community resources.
• Complete documentation in a thorough and timely manner.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures, as well as appropriate federal, state, and county regulations.

Peer Recovery Specialist (SUD) Baltimore, MD For peers who are not certified, the pay range is $18.00 - $20.00 per hour. For certified peers, the pay range is $21.00- $22.00 per hour. Since 1992, CPR has provided behavioral health crisis intervention and substance use treatment services for individuals experiencing mental health or substance use crises in Baltimore.The OpportunityCarePoint is seeking a Peer Recovery Specialist to join our frontline crisis intervention team at the Substance Use Urgent Care Center. There are part-time, full-time, and PRN positions available. As a Peer Recovery Specialist, you will assess, evaluate, and perform crisis intervention techniques and develop crisis plans to support the continuation of services for individuals in crisis.
