Job summary

Akron Children's Wooster SCN is seeking a Staff Nurse for PRN night shifts, 7:00 PM–7:30 AM, with a 36‑hour/6‑week schedule. You will deliver family‑centered nursing care for pediatric patients, working onsite in Wooster as part of a collaborative team.

Required: BSN or enrollment in 5‑year window, Ohio RN license, and BLS certification. Strong communication, leadership, and teamwork are essential; EPIC experience preferred.

Qualifications

• BSN required or must be obtained within 5 years from date of hire.
• RN license in Ohio required.
• Current BLS certification required; other certifications may be required by unit.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Assesss, plans, implements, evaluates, and directs nursing care with a focus on family‑centered care for individuals or groups within the assigned scope of practice.
• Provide care addressing physical, psychosocial, educational, and safety needs of patients of all ages.
• Demonstrate leadership and professional duties.
• Provide patient‑centered care duties.
• Participate in quality improvement and safety duties.
• Educate staff, mentor new employees, and support clinical staff development.
• Engage in evidence‑based practice duties.
• Support provider staff and promote collaboration for quality pediatric care and legend customer service.
