Job summary

Advocate Health Care's Ortho Neuro – Sherman Hospital is seeking a Nursing Assistant (CNA) for full-time night shifts. Under RN supervision, you assist with daily patient care, monitor vitals, and support admissions, transfers, and discharges.

Responsibilities include documenting in the EMR, performing point-of-care tests, stocking the nursing area, and ensuring patient safety with proper lifting and infection prevention practices.

Qualifications

• GED or HSED or high school diploma required.
• Nurse Aide in good standing per State Registry.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification to be obtained within 45 days.
• No prior experience required.

Responsibilities

• Assist RN with daily patient care including bathing, feeding, and ambulation.
• Document vitals and patient data in EMR accurately.
• Support admission, transfer, and discharge processes.
• Perform point-of-care specimen collection and testing as indicated.
