Job summary

AdventHealth in La Grange, IL is seeking a Patient Care Technician to join the night shift team. You will support nursing staff, perform patient care tasks, and help maintain a safe, clean environment. Requirements include high school grad, BLS, and CNA/CPCT/A/EMT certifications. 36 hours per week, nights, with rotating weekends and holidays.

Qualifications

• High School grad is required.
• 1+ applicable PCT experience.
• Previous bedside patient care in an acute care unit, unit secretary, monitor technician, or equivalent medical experience.

Responsibilities

• Schedules: 36 hours/week; Nights 6:45pm - 7:15am, rotating weekends/holidays.
• Performs treatments according to policy and procedure, providing patient care appropriate to age, mobility, acuity, and culture.
• Functions in clinical emergencies and supports quality standards and initiatives.
• Maintains safety by following isolation guidelines, PPE use, handwashing, and safety regulations.
• Assists in delivering patient care as a team member under RN direction and documents procedures per policy.
