Job summary

Endeavor Health in Illinois seeks a Patient Care Technician for the Northwest Community Hospital system. The per diem night shift (11 pm–7:30 am) requires 48 hours over 6 weeks with weekend coverage and holiday floating across medical units.

Under RN/LPN direction, you will perform patient care tasks, monitor vital signs, assist with ADLs, and ensure patient safety while upholding hospital policies and compassionate care values.

Qualifications

• Must have CNA training and be eligible to work in the US.
• Current BLS Healthcare Provider certification required.
• Excellent interpersonal and teamwork abilities.

Responsibilities

• Interact with patients and visitors; respond to call lights and provide hourly rounding.
• Assist with safe patient handling and transfers using proper equipment.
• Support basic nursing care: ADLs, bathing, grooming, feeding.
• Assist with admission, discharge, and transfers and orient patients.
• Document care activities, monitor vital signs, and report changes.
• Provide care companion support as needed; restock supplies.
• Perform department-specific tasks and maintain unit safety.
