Job summary

Required is a High School diploma or near completion of related health sciences, and current Basic Life Support certification within 3 months of hire.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or active enrollment in Health Sciences program.
• Current Basic Life Support certification within 3 months of hire.
• Ability to work in a rotating schedule including evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Direct and continuous observation of patient at a distance no greater than arm’s length from patient.
• Participates in patient rounding as directed by the Registered Nurse.
• Answers call lights and ensures patient care issues are directed to the Registered Nurse.
• Transports patients within the department and to in-hospital locations as needed.
• Restocks department supplies and maintains patient care areas.
• Completes all required documentation for patient care.
• Communicates any changes in patient behavior to the Registered Nurse.
• Utilizes interpreter services for patients with limited English proficiency.
