Job summary

Qualifications

• Requires high school diploma or GED.
• Possible healthcare experience; or EMT/Paramedic program enrollment with relevant clinical rotations.
• CPR certification required; ACLS preferred.
• Completion of UPMC patient care technician class and eRecord training would be beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Provides patient care including assisting with procedures and activities of daily living.
• Assists with nursing core tasks and reports changes in patient status.
• Maintains equipment and reports malfunctions; ensures safety and teamwork.
• Documents in the medical record per established procedures.
• Supports patient safety and participates in unit activities and transport.
