Job summary

UPMC Williamsport is seeking a Full-Time Patient Care Technician for the 6 East Progressive Care Unit. The role requires night shifts (7p-7a) with every other weekend and holiday.

Responsibilities include providing patient care, assisting with procedures, monitoring vital signs, phlebotomy, EKG, and documentation in the medical record. Final candidates will be placed on a career ladder reflecting education and experience at offer.

Qualifications

• Performs nursing assistant tasks including ADLs and monitoring patient status.
• Assists with phlebotomy, EKG, and point-of-care testing as needed.
• Communicates effectively with the health care team and patients.

Responsibilities

• Provides patient care including assisting with procedures and activities of daily living.
• Assists with physical, respiratory and cardiopulmonary therapies; reports changes to RN.
• Performs core nursing assistant duties and participates in department activities.
• Documents in the medical record and supports safety and infection control policies.
• Maintains teamwork and responsiveness to call lights, meal delivery, and transport.
