Job summary

Mercy Health is seeking a Patient Care Technician (PCT) for St. Rita's Medical Center in Lima, OH. The role covers 7pm-7am full-time nights on 5E unit (Adult Med Surg and Pediatrics).

You will assist with basic patient care, monitor vital signs, and support patients and families in a fast-paced hospital environment. We value teamwork and compassion. Preferred candidates have nursing aide training or CNA/STNA certification and BLS certification; prior acute care experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Recent experience in acute care, physician's office, home health, hospice, or long-term care.
• BLS Basic Life Support preferred; must obtain before direct patient care.

Responsibilities

• Provide basic patient care: comfort, hygiene, feeding, mobility.
• Measure vital signs and monitor patient health.
• Report changes to nurse and document care.
• Assist with patient transfers and mobility.
• Ensure patient rooms are clean and properly sanitized.
