Job summary

Bon Secours Mercy Health is seeking a Patient Care Technician (PCT) for St. Rita's Medical Center on the Full-Time Nights shift (7pm-7am, every 3rd weekend) in the 5E Adult Med Surg and Pediatrics unit. The role supports RNs by providing basic patient care, vital sign monitoring, and patient assistance while ensuring safety and dignity.

Applicants should have completed nursing aide training or STNA/CNA certification as per OH requirements; BLS preferred. EPIC EHR experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Basic patient care duties and comfort measures as part of a healthcare team.
• Ability to monitor vital signs and observe patient changes.
• Strong communication with patients, families and staff; report findings timely.

Responsibilities

• Provides basic patient care including hygiene, feeding and comfort.
• Measures vitals and documents accurately in the chart.
• Acts as liaison between patient and nurse, reporting changes.
• Assists with mobility and personal care, foster independence where possible.
• Demonstrates professional behavior with patients, families and staff.
