Job summary

Penn Medicine's Pennsylvania Hospital is seeking a Patient Care Tech for a full-time night shift on the 7 Cathcart unit. The role delivers patient- and family-centered care, supports the care team, and helps with daily activities and discharge preparation.

Responsibilities include vital signs, intake/output documentation, phlebotomy support, and ensuring patient safety and comfort during shifts. Requires CNA with PA certification or RN without BSN and BLS.

Qualifications

• Customer service skills to support patients and families.
• Team collaboration with nurses and allied staff to ensure safe patient care.
• Ability to prioritize care and follow unit protocols.

Responsibilities

• Delivers patient care that is patient- and family-centered and reports to the RN.
• Performs AM/PM care, meal setup and feeding assistance, and prepares patients for discharge.
• Monitors vital signs, documents intake/output, and assists with activities of daily living.
