Allina Health is hiring a Patient Care Technician to deliver direct and indirect patient care on a 12-hour permanent night shift. This role requires medical support under RN/physician supervision and includes vital sign documentation, ADL assistance, and clerical tasks.

Expected duties include accurate data collection, timely reporting of changes, and safe patient handling. Educational prerequisites include CNA program or equivalent certifications, with prior patient care experience highly

Qualifications

• Must meet one of the following requirements: 18 years of age OR 17 years with diploma/GED
• Completion of one semester of clinical rotations with an accredited nursing program OR
• Successful completion of CNA program OR
• Completion of the Allina Health Nursing Assistant Academy Program
• NREMT certification upon hire
• Previous direct patient care experience

Responsabilités

• Observes, collects, and documents health status data as assigned.
• Completes measurements according to policy (temperatures, pulses, blood pressures, respirations, weights, intake/output).
• Reports to RN any observations outside normal limits or with significant changes.
• Assists patients with activities of daily living (ADL) as directed by RN.
• Documents according to guidelines and assists with patient registration and clerical duties.
• Assists with transfers, ambulation, and positioning as ordered; supports patient safety.
• Transports medications within unit according to facility standards.
• Prints and explains release forms when applicable; schedules procedures.
