Job summary

Allina Health is seeking a Nursing Assistant to support patient care under the supervision of an RN. The role emphasizes personal care, vital signs collection, and daily living assistance, including feeding and hygiene. Experience in direct patient care and CNA training is essential.

Eligible candidates should have CNA program completion, nursing assistant academy exposure, or clinical rotations, with current BLS certification. The position is nights, with weekend rotation and a 0.6 FTE schedule.

Qualifications

Must meet one of the following requirements: 18 years of age or 17 years with a HS diploma/GED.
Successful completion of a CNA program or equivalent.
Clinical rotations completed in an accredited nursing program or nursing assistant academy program.
Previous direct patient care experience.

Responsibilities

Perform personal care interventions as assigned (feeding, bathing, dressing, grooming).
Collects and documents vital signs and observations.
Assist with ambulation, transfers, ROM, and daily activities.
Support RN with admissions, transfers, discharges, and post-mortem care as needed.
Observe health status and report deviations to the RN.
Maintain safety and assist with environment maintenance and equipment use.
