Job summary

Allina Health in Buffalo, MN is hiring a Patient Care Technician for 0.8 FTE (64 hours per two-week pay period) on 8-hour evening/night shifts with every other weekend rotation. Under supervision, you will support nursing staff by taking vital signs, assisting with ADLs, and documenting data to ensure quality patient care.

Responsibilities include patient transfers, careful observation of health status, and timely reporting to the RN.

Qualifications

• Must be 18+ years old or 17+ with high school diploma or GED
• Requires CNA program completion or equivalent (NREMT acceptable on hire)
• Current BLS certification from AHA or Red Cross (in-house or within 30 days)

Responsibilities

• Take and document vital signs and health data as assigned
• Assist patients with activities of daily living and transfers
• Observe and report health status changes to the RN
• Document according to guidelines and perform clerical duties
• Assist with patient transport, rooming and discharge procedures
• Ensure patient safety during transfers and use of equipment
