Job summary

NWCH is seeking a Patient Care Technician for the 3ES Medical Surgical Unit in Arlington Heights, IL. This full-time night shift role offers 36 hours per week with orientation during a workweek starting Monday in addition to a rotating weekend schedule.

Responsibilities include assisting with patient care, coordinating with the care team, and documenting care activities in the EMR. CNA certification and CPR are required, with CNA coursework and EMT/paramedic training considered advantageous.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of an accredited CNA course and CNA certification exam.
• EMT or paramedics training recommended / current enrollment in nursing program with clinical rotation.
• Current CPR certification from the American Heart Association.

Responsibilities

• Enter patient treatments and charges to support medical record accuracy.
• Assist care team in coordinating patient activities and services.
• Facilitate communication between care team, physicians, patients, and families.
