Job summary
Endeavor Health in Arlington Heights, IL is hiring a Patient Care Technician for the 3ES Medical Surg Unit. This full-time role covers nights 7:00 pm to 7:30 am with every other weekend and requires completion of a CNA program and CPR certification.
You will support nursing staff by documenting treatments, assisting with activities of daily living, and communicating with physicians, patients and families. The organization offers comprehensive benefits and opportunities for growth.
Qualifications
- Completion of an accredited CNA course.
- Successful CNA certification exam.
- EMT or paramedic training is required or beneficial.
- Enrollment in an accredited nursing program with clinical rotations.
- Current CPR certification from the American Heart Association.
Responsibilities
- Enter specific patient treatments and charges to the medical record.
- Assist the care team in coordinating patient activities and services.
- Coordinate communication between care team, physicians, patients and families.
- Assist with personal care needs under RN/LPN supervision.
- Assist with mobility and safe patient handling.
- Document basic patient care and obtain vitals as directed.
- Support admitting, discharging, and transportation tasks.
